If you’ve been around OnBase for a while, you’ve probably heard about workflow. Maybe you’ve used workflow. Even some of you have probably configured workflow. However, in case you aren’t familiar, workflow helps you automate a process electronically. With workflow, everyone follows the same process, not just subject matter experts. This simplifies things a lot! But when you get down to it, what exactly does workflow do?
The truth is that today, workflow is used very broadly within many technologies and industries. Additionally, every workflow process we see is different. It may address a specific need, and it may be specially configured for personalized organizational needs.
But to understand what you yourself can do with workflow, you need to take a big step back and look at the broad picture. Workflow can do so many things and meet so many needs that it can be difficult to wrap your head around the details. Fortunately, we’re going to forget about the technical jargon and get back to basics to help you understand what workflow can do for you.
The following video goes further into the basics of Workflow, and you’ll even get to see OnBase workflow in action. The focus of this webinar is on workflow concepts:
- What starts a workflow?
- What can you accomplish through workflow?
- How can workflow benefit your organization?
- How can you effectively plan for workflow?
- How can Naviant help me?
We also discuss how to approach planning a workflow before anyone configures one for a process. While the concept might sound simplistic for those that have been setting workflow for some time, we think everyone will have something to learn by discussing the fundamentals.
