What can I do if scanning is really slow using the thick client?

This module will speed up the time it takes to scan especially if the scan station is a long distance from the servers. If you are using Production Document Imaging through the thick client when a page is scanned a connection is made to the database and the documents are saved to the disk group location. If these locations are far apart, say with an ocean in between this can be very slow and time consuming.
