Naviant is proud to announce its ongoing partnership with the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division (DACID), the Army’s primary law enforcement organization headquartered in Quantico, Virginia. This collaboration demonstrates Naviant’s commitment to empowering federal agencies with intelligent automation and content management solutions that deliver measurable outcomes. As DACID moves forward with its direct contract model, Naviant remains dedicated to ensuring its OnBase solution is secure, optimized, and aligned with the enterprise content strategy.
DACID uses OnBase as the authoritative source to maintain all law enforcement case management documentation. The OnBase software provides a modern design and user-friendly electronic solution that supports the full range of LE functions that DACID’s business objectives and missions require.
For DACID, the purpose of its partnership with Naviant is to tap into Naviant’s expertise, technology, and resources to help operate, enhance, and maintain the electronic mission system environments of its OnBase software application, ensuring a high-quality, cost-effective solution. To deliver these results, Naviant will take over the following responsibilities:
- Operations and Maintenance (O&M): Naviant will be responsible for the O&M of the existing electronic applications software (OnBase), including operating system, application, and data, ensuring the current environment remains available for use and handling all application upgrades.
- Dynamic, Customizable Functionality: Naviant will maintain the capabilities of the electronic mission system application by creating dynamic, customizable, role-based functionality to ensure preservation of LE documentation.
- Data Integration: Naviant will configure and maintain interfaces to electronically transfer LE data to/from the Army Law Enforcement Reporting & Tracking System (ALERTS) and the future case management system to the Electronic Imaging (OnBase) mission system. Capabilities such as Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request processing will also remain functional and enhanced as stakeholder requirements change.
“Our partnership with DACID spans over six years, built on trust and proven cooperation in project execution,” said Vince Hanson, VP of Public Sector Modernization at Naviant. “We’re honored to support DACID’s mission with OnBase, delivering secure, scalable solutions that empower their law enforcement teams.”
