The right click functionality found within the Unity Client is similar to many other right click functions you’ve seen before, providing you quick access to tools that you need within OnBase.

Keep reading or view the video below to get examples of the right click options you have within the Unity Client.

What Are the Right Click Options Within the Unity Client?

What Are the Right Click Options Within the Unity Client?

Example 1: Tile Customization Options

When you launch the Unity Client, you’ll see your personal page filled different tiles. If you right click on the tile, you can find quick access to customization options for these tiles, such as deleting them, renaming them, or changing their color.

Example 2: WorkView Objects

First, navigate to your Workview objects. In this particular example in the video, we looked at a list of all employees. We then selected the list and right clicked. Which allowed us to delete the selected object, create a new object, or open the object to view its information. And if you wanted to perform a task like printing or exporting the list, those are options too.

Example 3: Document Retrieval

Where the right click function really shines within the Unity Client, is in document retrieval. In the video, we ran a search that selected accounts payable > vendor invoices > all vendor invoices from the year 2019. When we clicked “Find,” we were presented with four documents. Upon right clicking one of the results, we received several right click functions, including:

  • Keywords: The keywords right click function can bring up all associated keywords with the document for you to easily view.
  • Print: If you were to print, you’d select the right click option “print.”
  • History: You can also select “history” to see what has occurred within this document and any workflow queues that it might be a part of.
  • Properties Pane: Another aspect of the right click is the properties pane. This gives you important information like the document date, the date it was stored, its document type, and information like the disk group, the volume, the file format, file size, and the file path.
  • Document Retention: The properties pane also shows us the document retention. This will show us if there’s been a document retention plan configured for the document. For our example in the video, there was no plan, but if there was, we would’ve been able to find the document retention upon using the right click.
  • Delete Document: And something else to list on the right click functions is the delete document shortcut. Simply selecting this confirming that deletion will delete that document.

It’s also important to note that the right click functions can easily be found on the ribbon, in this case for documents on the document tab, but the right click serves as a quick way to find all these tools and use them in an instant.
